"s" is for Stegasaurus

The Stegosaurus was a plant eating dinosaur that had bony plates and and spines along its back and tail.  Although the Stegosaurus was large it only had a brain the size of a dog and was very slow moving



We found S a really hard shape to make so we practiced making BIG ones, because it is easier when the shape is bigger.



Avrille did an awesome job with her homework. We'll done Avrille.




" O " is for Ottoia

The Ottoia was worm that was found about 50 million years ago. It was found in British Columbia in Canada. It was Carnivorous eating other types of worms.



they were often found in this U shaped way which may have been the shape of the burrows they lived in.

"E" is for egg from which the dinosaur hatches

In room three we all remembered Barney the Dinosaur who used to be on T.V.

"Q" is for Quaesitosaurus

Quaesitosaurus means extraordinary lizard. He was a plant eater with a very very long neck and he had a whip like tail.

' G' is for Glyptodon

The Glyptodon was a heavily armoured dinosaur, which looked like a turtle and was about the size of a Volkswagon car.  He lived in herds a grazed on grasses and plants found alongside rivers and pools.


"D" is for Dimetrodon

The Dimetrodon  was actually a pelycosaur and not a dinosaur  he was a large meat eating animal that lived long before the dinosaur was discovered.  But in room three we have adopted him as a dinosaur.

Jacob did this amazing cutting He is a super star.

"A" is for Ankylosaurus

Ankylosaurus was a huge armoured dinosaur. It was heavily plated with hard leathery skins and a club tail to protect him from his attackers. He was a plant eating dinosaur.

"K" is for Kannenmeyia

Kannemeyeria was a huge animal that used its large tusks claws and thick beak to dig out roots and other plants

We are beginning our Dinosaur Alphabet because we have lots of childrenwho are interested in Dinosaurs in Room three

"C" is for Corythosaurus
Corythosaurus  means Helmet Lizard because of the flattened helmet on his head. He was a duck billed dinosaur who lived in herds and ate plants.

We have done some great fine motor exercises this week

Kenny did awesome work in his fine motor book.... after three days at school

 and Daniel built a great tower with the stacking sticks.
